This course also aims to review current evidence of the indications for and advantages of PEG tube placement in a variety of settings and pathological conditions. Placement techniques and procedural management of PEG tubes are also explained, and risks and potential complications are discussed. Finally, specific nursing care diagnoses are provided.and skills in assessing the individual client and family.
