In the olden days means “a freed warrior”- someone who is fighting for the things important to him, his life, his family, his land. In the modern world, It means nobility, a symbol of success.
“MAHARLIKA ACADEMY” stands for the modern warriors-The OFW, who is also fighting for themselves, their family, and their country, and that through education and skills training they will become successful in uplifting their life and truly worthy to be called MAHARLIKAN.

Christian G. Maano From a School Support Staff to a Professional Caregiver, I am Joann A. Lubrica, a proud daughter of Science City of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija. I have worked in the UAE for 6 years.My decision to go back to school is, because I can see that I can never reach my dream if I continue to work as a support staff. In fairness to my previous work, AJ Nursery was so good to me. I owed my growth professionally with my fellow staffs who gave me a lot of memorable experiences in life. However, my heart is longing to achieve my life’s goal and what made it heart breaking was, I could hardly send help to my family nor support my other needs. It was then when I decided to take up a shop course. Thanks God that I have a very supportive sister who volunteered to pay for my 1st fees and the rest we’re blessings. Working and udying at the same time was not that easy and as the saying goes if there’s a will, there’s a way,” I decided firmly to walk the road towards reaching my purpose. I am not getting any younger anymore, so I told to myself, “it’s now or never.”
Maharlika Academy lead me to dream again, I started to pick-up the shattered pieces of my life and moved on. I decided to become the person- I dreamed to be a Health worker, and look I did it! Joann A. LubricaI am Grace B. Agresor, 45 years old, from Tuguegarao City, Cagayan. I’m currently a Manager and Beautician in Marasee Beauty Parlor, a freelancer doing home services in the field of beauty and also now a Massage Therapist for 3 years here in the UAE.This is My Story….
I was born with a lot of different sickness like heart failure, Myoma, and twice diagnosed with Cancer of the blood or Leukemia. I survived my first diagnosis but eventually, after 12 years I had a relapse, my cancer came back. Fortunately, I was already working abroad and found a very good employers who supported me from my medication, chemotherapy, radiation therapy and even bone marrow transplant. I never took my vacation for almost 7 years due to my medical condition. But, I’m still lucky because I survived. I can say that I’m a cancer survivor. As of press time though, my left part of my head is always on pain, I undergone CT scan and the result is a tumor in the left part of my brain with size of 2cm x 5cm. The doctors wants me to undergo operation but I refused. So far, once or twice in a week I feel pain usually when I think more, got stress from heat or too much cold.
